Our Policies
EZ Whelp Employees agree to feed the litter of puppies every two hours unless otherwise specified. We will feed sooner than every 2 hours, but not later than 2 hours. Our employees will stimulate the pups to defecate properly, bottle feed if required or requested, administer medication if required (Medication has to be in original container, with original label, with patient name, date medication name and dosage on the bottle, or it will not be administered).
Staff will document the Bitches Defecation time, consistency and colour to ensure health is maintained.
Each pup will have a name or way to differentiate between pups, all tasks mentioned will have a time associated with each task and the outcome of each task.
The safety and health of your Bitch and puppies are our number one priority, if at any time the Bitch or pups become in distress or unsafe, we will immediately transport them to Southern Alberta Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Prior to departure, we will inform you that we are headed to SAVE and why, at this point we ask for you to begin your travels to meet us there if possible.
